TipFolio

TipFolio is my second indie app, built for the 7 million tipped workers in the US who earn most of their income in cash and have no reliable way to prove it. Servers, bartenders, barbers, valets — they all share the same problem: at tax time or mortgage time, the income exists but the paper trail does not.

The IRS requires tipped workers to maintain a daily tip log (Form 4070A). Almost no one does because every solution in the market is either too generic or too cumbersome. TipFolio fixes both.

Features include:

• Fast logging — log cash and card tips in under 10 seconds at end of shift, with an optional hourly rate field
• Earnings dashboard — weekly and monthly tip totals, hourly averages, and shift-by-shift breakdowns
• IRS Form 4070A — generated automatically from logged shifts, ready to print or share with a tax professional
• Lender-ready income letter — a formatted summary of annual tip income that satisfies mortgage and loan applications
